Travel Notes:
Passports
You need a passport to travel to Ireland. Passport processing can be slow, so if you do not have a passport, you need to apply for one immediately. Complete instructions can be found at http://travel.state.gov/passport.

A passport with at least 6 months validity past the expected date of return to the US is required for travel. It is your responsibility to review the expiration date on your passport to ensure that it meets these requirements.

Why do I need to send you a copy of my Passport?
Effective November 1, 2010, the Travel Safety Administration (TSA) now requires that we enter all of your passport information into your flight record at the time of ticketing. If it is not entered correctly or in a timely manner you may be denied boarding or experience additional travel delays. To avoid these consequences, simply send a legible copy of your passport to Chamber Discoveries as soon as possible; it will be kept in confidential files and only shared as needed with the airlines.

Visa & Passport Requirements
Visit the Embassy of Ireland website for the most current visa information.

You must have a valid passport to enter Ireland, but U.S. citizens can enter visa free for tourism or business stays of up to three months.

There is no minimum passport validity for U.S. citizens entering Ireland. We recommend you have a passport that is valid for the duration of your stay, sufficient funds, and a return airline ticket.

An increased number of U.S. citizens have been refused entry or have been granted only a limited stay because they failed to satisfy Irish immigration laws. Please ensure you have the appropriate visa prior to traveling. You can find more information at the Irish Naturalization and Immigration Service website.

We cannot intervene on your behalf when applying for a visa, nor can we assist if you are denied entry into Ireland.

The U.S. Department of State is unaware of any HIV/AIDS entry restrictions for visitors to or foreign residents of Ireland.
